Thank you all so much for your support during this very long year - we are adapting to survive and hopefully thrive and as the year progresses and people feel safer coming out to meet again for coffee, workshops, shop for arts and crafts etc  we will be looking to rent more permanent premises. In the meantime we are developing a new website and continuing with our coffee morning cake deliveries and facebook page - so please keep checking for updates, new announcements and 'Happy Things' to come

WE’LL BE BACK!!!!

Hello everyone – an update from The Crafthub

To everone that has been in touch with The Crafthub both from our community and visitors - thank you for your support, it is really appreciated.

We know many of you are on return visits to Orkney and to Rousay unfortunately we are not yet able to open and at the time of writing many facilities in Orkney remain closed.

If you are coming across it would be a good idea to bring everything you will need for your visit inc. food and drink.

Also....

Keep an eye on the weather forecast if you plan to visit as a foot passenger as there will be limited places for you to shelter.

We hope you enjoy your holiday and look forward to welcoming you again in the future

WE'VE HAD SOME VERY GOOD NEWS and we want to share it with YOU!

Along with eligibility for the government small business grant, a third sector resilience grant and an OIC Culture Fund grant we received this from the National Lottery Community Fund on 1st June 2020

Project ID: 20107255

Hello Christina

We’re going to fund your project idea
We’re so happy to tell you we really liked your application for National Lottery Awards for All. And we want to give The Crafthub cic - workshops for the 20s £10000 to help your community thrive.

In line with many other small  social enterprises and community groups in Orkney we want to make sure we are doing all we can to protect 'you' our lovely community.

This is particularly hard for us, as we were set up to serve and benefit the community but we really, really, want everyone to stay safe,  so....

As you know following government instructions we closed temporarily on 20th March 2020 this has turned out to be a  lot longer than anyone expected

but when the GOOD TIME ROLL and they will .... we'll be as ready as we can be.

Please visit us on our Facebook page we will post regularly and tell you how things are going and when we plan to open again. We really hope it is not too long before we see you all again.

Please keep in contact by email or message us - WE HAVE MISSED YOU - it is really important for us all to keep in contact and help each other whenever and however we can - we need each other more than ever at times like this and we @ The Crafthub will keep in touch via our FACEBOOK page

'we send you our love' β€οΈ

....and if there is anything we can do to help you just let us know.
