NO PRE-ENTRIES - REGISTER ON THE DAY AT TRACC (Hartfield Road) FROM 10.30am
Tain Hill Trail Race usuall takes place in Nov and is an 11 mile (approx) route starting off with 2 miles uphill (all on good, runnable track) then undulating on forest tracks round Tain Hill taking in spectacular views on the way and finishing with 1 mile downhill on tarmac road. It starts at TRACC (at the back of Tain Academy) on Hartfield Road and finishes outside Carnegie Hotel on Viewfield Road. There is also a 7 mile Joggers Challenge and 7 mile Walk open to all ages so this is very much a family event. Those who wish can request a sponsor form to raise funds for CLIC Sargent (Caring for Children with Cancer) but this is optional. However we would urge those not raising sponsorship to make a donation on the day. Since the inaugural race in 2004 we have raised over £9,000 for the charity.
Showers and changing rooms available at TRACC. Refreshments and prize-giving at St Duthus Hotel from 2pm.
