Gnoll Park Charges

A NPT Council report dated 15th February looked at changes in charges for the Gnoll Country Park

Gnoll Country Park, Neath

11)   Consultation has been carried out as part of the council’s general consultation on parking, that car parking charges be increased to £2.50 for up to 4 hours and £4 for all day, and that the cost of a season ticket be increased to £52 per year. Footgolf and room hire have not been subject to consultation.

Responses

12) The proposed increase in the charge for parking has, perhaps unsurprisingly, received negative responses through the consultation process. Replies indicate a general reluctance towards any form of payment for parking within the park, and replies argue that such increases could be detrimental to visitor numbers.

Compare with Margam Country Park

In a report dated 3rd April 2019 appearing in the NPT Newsroom, the following was stated regarding Margam Country Park charges:

The Standard Membership is £40 with a discounted ticket available for Neath Port Talbot residents priced at just £35. You can purchase both online and in person from the Park.

Why not pop to the Park over the Easter Half Term holiday to purchase a Park Membership and at the same time enjoy Spring in the Park as well as some of the family-friendly Easter activities.
Close to the M4, the 850-acre park where deer roam, boasts among its many attractions the stunning neo-Gothic Margam Castle, the grand 12th Century Margam Orangery and the impressive remains of the medieval Margam Abbey – former home to Cistercian monks.

The Park Membership is valid for one calendar year from the date of purchase and covers parking charges for a single car.

It seems you pay more in Neath and get less.
