Aldi Petition goes online and passes first target
Following planning application number P2019/5304, an online petition aims to support it. Clicking on the ALDI logo takes you to it. The big news is that it passed its first target yesterday. It's now heading for its second target.
The site for the proposed new ALDI store is at Neath Abbey, ironically the location of a German prisoner of war camp during WWII. During the war there were over 1,000 POW camps in the UK., the Neath Abbey camp was number 284.

The proposed ALDI discount food outlet will give some welcome competition to the Tesco dominated market with their three stores in the Neath area.
