Water Street sinks

Water Street, Neath, still sinks in hot weather

Despite the recent ground-works done in Water Street ready for the new town development, sewer smells are still evident in hot weather.

If the weather holds out for the Neath September Fair, visitors to the town will notice the foul smells in the area of Boots the Chemist and the Neath Workingmens Club.

The smells are from the street drains which are connected to the Victorian sewer that runs under Water Street.

Unless something is done in the near future the hot weather smells will surely affect the town's new development.
