Nigel Farage speaks out

Has Nigel Farage overstepped the mark?

Nigel Farage has derided the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for their “irrelevant” social justice and environmental campaigns while abusing Prince Charles and describing the late Queen Mother as an “overweight, chain-smoking gin drinker”, in an incendiary speech to an Australian rightwing political conference.

Despite Farage's verbal description of the Queen Mother, she was 101 years of age when she died in 2002, not bad for an alleged 'chain-smoking gin drinker!'

The question arises about his views on political reform and if it would include the expanding Royal Family.

Perhaps Farage's words were more acceptable in Australia than what they would have been in the UK?   Give your views on I SAY.

A reader expresses his regret about Nigel Farage not being a British MP and writes: "He has been a Member of the European Parliament representing South East England since the 1999 election, winning re-election three times. Farage has stood for election to the House of Commons seven times, in five general elections and two by-elections, but has not won any of those elections."
