Great idea - a repair shop café in Neath
Frank Little's blog mentions how someone in Amsterdam set up a Repair Shop Café in 2009, where friends were invited to bring along something for repair and have a coffee at the same time.
Apparently, the idea caught on and now there are 1,700 repair cafés offering their services in 35 countries around the world.
It's a great idea in our throw-away society and would certainly help the environment.
The NPT Council could help to set one up in Neath, which could even help those on benefits to do something constructive.
The Council would benefit in more ways than one, which would include less being taken to the local refuse centre.
It only takes some forward thinking and some initiative to get this going.
