Who owns Boots?

The US owner of Boots has reasserted its commitment to Nottingham after announcing that it was pulling out of manufacturing its own products in the city.

Walgreens Boots Alliance, the owner of Boots, announced in July that its BCM factory at Beeston, formerly Boots Contract Manufacturing, where No7 toiletries and cosmetics are manufactured for sale under the Boots brand, will be acquired by Fareva, the French-owned specialist in sophisticated manufacturing.

Boots, established in 1849. one of the largest retailers in the UK and Ireland, both in terms of revenue and the number of shops. They have 2,500 shops across the United Kingdom and Ireland ranging from local pharmacies to large health and beauty shops.  Their shops are primarily located on the high streets and in shopping centres
