Welcome to Swans of ScotlandWe are a self supporting help group for all Trans folk in the North of Scotland. If you have concerns, worries, unsure of yourself, or just want to contact someone, please use the feedback form and someone will get back to you. The Highland LGBT Forum has organised a Valentines Party for the Saturday, 11th Febuary in the Beaufort Hotel. New Group in AberdeenWe are an Aberdeen based group that help and support trans-gendered people and their partners and families in the Grampian area so that they can overcome any problems that may arise. We are a newly formed group who hope to work with existing organisations in the area. We hold regular meetings over a cup of coffee where we can swap information between members, providing what we like to refer to as a ‘friendly ear’, so that anyone can just talk through what is happening to them, hopefully we can reassure them that they’re not alone, and we have had the offer of advice in the application of makeup. Not only are we available to offer support to male to female transsexuals, but female to male, gender queer and anyone that considers themselves transgendered in any way as well. We hope to be able to give information to partners and families so that they can come to terms with gender dysphoria and realise that they’re not to blame for what has happened in anyway whatsoever. We also extend friendship and help to the cross dressers in the area, because we realise that they need somewhere to meet and talk in safety as well if they should wish to do so.
