General Rules and conditions of play (updated 8/11/2022)
- The business of the League will be conducted by a committee consisting of 4 positions. Elected each year at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), One vote per team.
- All decisions regarding league format will be only be made following consultation with all League captains, one vote per team.
- League entry fees of £40 must be paid prior to the fist game of the season. Entry to the league will constitute acceptance of theses rules.
- League and Cup matches to be played on Monday nights.
- Teams will consist of a minimum of six players of any Gender.
- Matches shall consist of six individual games, each game to be decided on the best of three legs 501 straight double finish,( In the event that one player wins the first two legs, the third leg shall not be played.)and 3 doubles games, each game being decided by 1 leg of 701 double start double finish.
- There shall be two officials to oversee each game, a marker from the home team and a checker from the away team. The checker will be the referee, the marker to record the score.
- Order of play to be decided by a random draw of 6 players names, chosen by the two captains.
- All matches to commence at 20.30, open board from 20.00pm. All players must be available to play by this time. Any late arriving players can only play with the agreement of both captains.
- In the event of a team being short of players, the team must forfeit a singles game but may only play one player in the doubles game.
- Teams must still play a fixture with a minimum of 4 players. If any team has 3 or less players, the match will be forfeited resulting in 9-0, 15-0. Only Exceptional circumstances will be accepted for a rearranged game. This doesn’t include holidays
- Players must throw for the bullseye in all legs. Away team to throw first, nearest to the bullseye shall begin the leg first.
- All players must remove their own darts, confirming the score to be correct before doing so
- Home team captains shall be responsible for the completion of match sheets, to be delivered no later than 7pm on Tuesday via what’s app,
- To compete in the league singles or doubles knock out competitions, players must have made a minimum of 1 appearance in a league match ( 6 singles and/or 3 doubles )
- New players to the league can join any team at any point during a season. Captains to notify a committee member as soon as possible.
- Players can transfer between teams up until the halfway stage of a season. Both captains have to agree, informing a committee member prior to completion of the transfer
- Any player that has Transferred from 1 team to another who has played in a cup match, is unable to play in either Cup for any other team.
- Any matters not covered in these rules shall be decided by the committee.
- Rules may only be amended during an Annual General Meeting (AGM) one vote per team, per proposal.
