Season Launch Special Screening
23 September 2011

Season Launch - Special Screening:

We're launching the new season with a special screening of Kevin MacDonald's acclaimed film LIFE IN A DAY - The film is a user-generated feature film, shot on a single day, July 24, 2010, that enlisted the global community to capture a moment of their lives on camera.
The world responded by submitting more than 80,000 videos to YouTube, representing over 4,500 hours of deeply personal, sometimes powerful and sometimes quite ordinary footage with contributors from Australia to Zambia, from the heart of bustling major cities to the furthest and most remote reaches of the earth.
Life in a Day brings together the most compelling YouTube footage into a 90-minute film, crafted by MacDonald, Executive Producer Ridley Scott, Producer Liza Marshall and their team, to offer a unique experience that shows, in beautiful, humourous and joyful honesty, what it is like to be alive on earth today.
There is a special deal for 2010/2011 club members, buy a ticket at £5/£4 for this screening and bring along a newcomer to the club as your guest, absolutely free!

The screening is of course open to everyone else at the day membership price shown above.
As ever we'll be showing the film at The County Hotel in Selkirk High Street, the perfect place for a pre-film meal beforehand (booking recommended, go to www.countyhotelselkirk.co.uk for details) or a post-film drink afterwards to blether about the film!
Doors open at 7.30 and the film will start at about 8.00.
