FUNDRAISING
Seahorse SC has been fortunate to receive donations from individuals, businesses and local organisations for many years. Swimmers and volunteers have also raised their own Club funds in all manner of ways, by organising jumble sales, coffee mornings, raffles, fashion shows, bingo nights, cheese and wine evenings, car boot sales, duck races, bike rides, sponsored swims and walks. This funding has enabled swimmers to compete in galas throughout the UK, obtain vital equipment to assist them in the pool, and to enjoy social functions and days out. As well as regularly supporting the Rotary Club of Crewe's Christmas float with house-to-house collections, members of Seahorse are also encouraged to fundraise for other good causes and charities, by taking on challenging swims during their swimming sessions or by participating in events, such as sponsored walks. This gives members a sense of achievement and boosts their self esteem, while at the same time, improving their overall health. Seahorse members have raised over £17,500 for good causes and charities (including Rotary collections) in recent years, with £1,472 raised for BBC Children In Need (2017 -2023). Children In Need
