The meadow, Cambo Grazed by cattle and horses, the meadow is a lovely sight. Nearby, pigs are being used to clear dense undergrowth. A big box of potatoes is thoughtfully left out so that you can feed the pigs - and very demanding ladies they are, too. |

The new beds These new beds are regular but not symmetrical, and should end up looking rather like a Mondriaan painting, with blocks of bright colour. |

The central burn The summer house provides a focal point in the centre of the walled garden. The burn runs through, draining the site and adding the quiet background sound of running water. |

The new Alpine house An old lean to greenhouse is being renovated as an Alpine house with carefully positioned stones to recreate a limestone pavement. Even without soil and unplanted, the stones looked entirely natural, as though they had been excavated. Ars celare artis! |

Pink cow parsley Ordinary cow parsley is lovely, but I suppose it might be taken for a weed; no danger of that with the pink variety. |
