Raasay comments

by Julia Robinson - 15:16 on 21 August 2010

As promised, here are some of the comments I've had about the trip to Raasay to launch 'Calum's Dream'.

Kenny - Great day. Walking on Calum's road was a high point for me. The weather was great, scenery fantastic, met some smashing people there. Thanks to the familiar faces who turned up as well.

Sean - Walking on Calum's road was brill. The vibe was amazing. The huge wasps were something else!!!

Craig - Excellent day. Good to play to people who love the music. Loved the fact that they were playing on Raasay where the song is set. Scenery great, friendly people.

Lizzie - Lovely day. People so friendly. Enjoyed sharing the day with the band. A successful day.

Margaret - Absolutely incredible especially when the band played 'Calum's Dream' and everyone stood up and applauded them.

Donnie - had a great day. Was funny watching Cath and her friend being interviewed for STV in their funny hats!

Cath - Sailing over to Raasay on the ferry and seeing the island was great. Had a smashing day.

Jane - whole thing was just fab!

Connie - Highlight for her was when Craig piped them up to the hotel. Not just witnessing it but, as a foreigner (American), feeling a part of it.

John - Brilliant day for Schiehallion.

George  and Laura - Perfect day. Scenery brill, band fantastic, company great. Wonderful day had by all though a bit emotional for some of the older local folk who knew Calum.

When are you coming down to Angus? A lot of your stuff would go down a storm here, where the battle for freedom is being fought.

Hi Iain. We don't have any gigs booked for Angus as yet, but I see there's a festival in Arbroath in July which might suit the band..... I'll have a look online and see if there's anything or anywhere else that we could consider playing at. If you have any suggestions, let me know!!
