Much refurbishment work took place on the buildings on the island over the summer. This has precluded normal access for ringing activities. Our ringing base, the boatshed, has had some work done on the roof , but whether it has made it watertight remains to be seen.

A limited amount of ringing has taken place when Rab has been able to get over to Sanda on brief visits. This concluded in August with the rining of 11 Manxie chicks.

Negotiations are eagerly anticipated with the owners regarding access and ringing activities for 2012.
