2011 was a lean year, when there was much building refurbishment taking place, and access was severely restricted.

However prospects are looking hopeful for ringing to recommence in 2012, and meetings with the island management are imminent to negotiate access and accommodation for the coming season.

We hope to be able to resume visits to the island for seabird and passerine ringing, and for day visits for guided birdwatching tours. Watch this space or email us for an update.

The island re-opens for the 2012 season on 25th March.
