Last Friday saw the opening of the newly made track over the Fair Haired Lad's Pass.

We managed to drag some press people up to the top and had a photocall up there with members of the committee and Alastair Smyth from the Forestry Commission. There was an article in Satruday's Press and Journal and we expect there to be something in the courier this week. We are very grateful to both PRIN (the Partnership for rural Inverness and Nairn) and the Forestry Commission for the funding of this path.

This pass is a pivotal link in the Trail of the 7 Lochs but is a great walk/ride in its own right. We will be holding a Fun Ride over the Pass, starting from Drummond Farm on Saturday 28th April at 10.30. Entry forms are available from candy@lochnessriding.co.uk

Grid reference for the start of the path on the Loch Ness side is 556291 and the track starts from Whitfefield which is between Dores and Inverfarigaig.
