New Broadford Short Mat Club to Start 14 March 2010 It is being proposed by Ian Reay and Kevin Lawley to establish a new Short Mat Bowling Club and base it out of Broadford. The following note was issued to all clubs-
SUBJECT: Broadford Indoor Bowling Club Dear Fellow Bowlers You and members of your club are invited to participate in a six-foot mat Open Doubles Competition to help cover the start-up costs of the new Broadford Indoor Bowling Club. The BIBC is being formed as a six-foot mat (only) club following The Scottish Short Mat Bowling Federation Rules. Bowlers and prospective bowlers of all ages throughout the area are welcome. The BIBC Open Doubles Competition will be held on 27 March 2010, at Portree High School. We hope you will spread the word to all the members of your club who may be interested in six-foot mat practice and competition and help us get the new club off to a good start by entering the Open Doubles Competition on 27 March 2010, and by joining us at the Broadford Community Hall for club nights to be held on Saturday evenings commencing 20 March 2010, from 7 – 10 pm.
