REMEMBRANCERemembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today. On this day people across the nation pause to reflect on the sacrifices made by our brave Service men and women. In 2014 Remembrance Sunday will be on Sunday 9th November. Aviemore & Rothiemurchus Branch will be organising two Remembrance Parades on that date. The first will be at Aviemore War Memorial situated on Grampian Road followed by a Church service in the nearby St Andrews Church. In 1973, in a ceremony attended by the King of Norway, the Norwegian Memorial Stone was dedicated to the memory of those who had trained in the area, and lost their lives in World War II.
