Google and Oggle

GOOGLE makes a name for itself

And in a smaller way so does OGGLE

Someone can make a wonderful website but if no-one knows about it then it is not much cop.

In 1996 two students at Stanford University, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, were searching for a dissertation theme, Page had been considering—among other things—exploring the mathematical properties of the World Wide Web, understanding its link structure as a huge graph.

They worked on a scheme to search and find websites - and that was the start of Google.

A Neath Ferret researcher found that information on a subject is often scattered and has come up with a means of gathering it together under the banner of Oggle.

One of the best examples is the news media where the news and newspapers are scattered all over the Internet.

NEWS OGGLE appears in our menu where you can go from one newspaper to another with just a click.  It is a website you can look at every day, just like newspapers where the news is always different.  Below is the News Oggle banner:

Sadly our researcher has not been recognised in the Internet hall of fame and has had no honours award, just having the satisfaction that he has done something to help others.

Another of the many Oggle websites is shown above - you can find the OGGLE INDEX in the menu.
