Are we losing our sense of humour?

In Readers Letters two readers have mentioned Dave Allen, the Irish comedian, who sadly died in March 2005.

His TV shows would not be screened today because of our sensitivity at things we once laughed at in a light hearted manner.   If Dave Allen were still alive would he be branded a racist?
