Another old village pub goes and ends that community feeling
The Lamb and Flag pub at Bryncoch closed earlier this year after being acquired by the Co-operative Group for a convenience food store.
Work is currently in progess to convert the pub to a retail store and it may be ready by Christmas.
It ends an era when family, friends and neighbours enjoyed a drink and a meal.
Pubs like the Lamb and Flag are closing all over the country and villages like Bryncoch are losing that community spirit. It is a sad state of affairs for those who enjoy the company of others.
Comment....
It appears the the Bryncoch Supermarket in Furzeland Drive is not happy about having a similar shop close by - but no doubt they will keep their loyal customers.
