An Insult to Nelson Mandela

Is this a joke?  Apart from the 'pick up the doggy poo' image, look at the rubbish under the sign.    Surely councillors cannot be proud of this new sign paid for by council tax payers?

The naming of this road has had many residents thinking of the BBC comedy series - 'Only Fools and Horses' - and the wisdom of the council naming this road Nelson Mandela Way - the brain wave of Cllr John Warman, pictured right.

The naming of the road was endorsed by the NPT council who approved of the cost of making and installing the two signs.

No known residents approved of the name and an alternate suggestion was made:  Ray Milland, William Squires or Richard Burton - all famous names in show business who were born in Neath.
