Reader is concerned about his almost new VW diesel car

A reader writes (Readers Letters) about his VW diesel car and wonders if he will be compensated for being miss-sold it.  He refers to the the false exhaust emission figures mentioned in the news.

This matter is of serious concern to VW owners who trust that our Government will follow up the matter.   All eyes are on the USA who are outside the EU and who have no political affiliations.  It was in America that the false figures were discovered.   Software was installed in the engine management systems of VW diesel cars to give lower emission readings while cars were being tested.   When running on the road it is alleged that the readings were 40 times higher and a danger to health.
