Beware of the lines!

"It has come to my attention,when the council mark sport pitches ie rugby,football,running tracks,and at sports days for schools etc., they use a weedkiller ,to burn or kill the grass to keep the lines in longer,  then they apply to tocoat or whitening,they have been doing this for years.  The proper way is just to use the whitening, so be carefull if you are playing sport this year."
