TRAFFIC CONGESTION at Neath Abbey Rd and Pen-y- Wern Rd.

"I have requested a Road Traffic Survey be carried out from Court Herbert Roundabout through to Pen-y-Wern Junction leading to Main Road, Bryncoch.
This is to monitor the amount of traffic at any given time throughout the day.
This began on Monday 2nd of February and will help prove the heavy flow of traffic along that route, as it has become very heavy recently.

As the L D P will be discussed soon I need to ensure that I have  up to date  facts to talk on your behalf in Chamber.
I will update you later on the above  matter."

Editorial Note.... The arrows indicate the main congestion points.   The A474 Neath Abbey Road carrys all the traffic to Pontardawe from the A465 dual carriage way in addition to the school traffic to the large educational complex at Dwr-y-felyn Road.   This section of the A474 road is probably the busiest road in the whole of the Neath Port County Borough.
The 'A' marker is where the buses drop off students for the schools.
