Cllr Peter Rees writes about the Council Tax Reduction Scheme (Wales)

Further to my correspondence on Welfare Reforms, I would like to notify readers of the following:-
Anyone receiving Second Adult Rebate, because a member of a household is in receipt of low income will be affected.
In April 2013 Council Tax Benefit is being abolished and replaced with Council Tax Reduction Scheme (Wales).
Under this scheme (Imposed by central Government)the full council tax charge will be due on the property.
The Council has sent out letters to 180 recipients of Second Adult Rebate with advice to contact the Benefits Section of NPTCBC if there are queries.
