Cut down on councillors and reduce costs  - don't drop rubbish!   --- Letters page

Our readers letters page is provoking thought.   A DIY approach is mentioned by one reader when it comes to keeping our streets clean.   There are also other ideas too.    The streets in some continental countries are so clean that you are afraid to drop litter.
Maybe we should change our attitude in this country and certainly in this town.  Let's start by giving Traffic Wardens the power to fine litter droppers.   There is certainly enough of them to do the job!
Let's have more of your thoughts - the penny may eventually drop (before the litter does!)
