Let's attempt to balance our reporting

We are the first to admit there is an anti-Labour feeling on this website.  We are sorry we can't help that. Is it because one political party is more caring than another and take more interest by writing in?  Everyone has the right to reply to the letters sent in.   If you think that a statement is wrong, or incorrect, then you have the opportunity to have your say.

We have taken the exceptional line of writing to a Labour candidate on this subject.   He did not answer the questions we asked - but here is an extract of the reply we had - it is printed in an attempt to balance our reporting:-

"My attempts to bring a balance discussion on Neath Ferret has now failed. You stated that the website you run will hold councillors to account, yet I do not see very much critical feedback given to the current councillors. We have the funny situation now where existing councillors are attempting to portray themselves as the candidates that will deliver fantastic facilities for young people, yet where have they been for the last eight years?"

As we have said before, we will let our readers speak (or should we say write) for themselves.   This includes the councillors whose duty it is to represent their constituents.

We simply want the facts to speak for themselves  - we cannot be more open and honest than that!
