Councillors and the Internet

Councillors, MP's and the Internet

Unless propective councillors and MP's have a good working knowledge of the Internet and emails, they should not be considered for election, according to an independent information source.
In these days of fast communications this information is essential, says the report.  Every councillor and MP should have a laptop or smart phone that can download instant messages.
Many serving policitians are thought to have gone past their sell-by date - some relying on their support staff. What this country (and this town) wants is elected officials who are up to the needs of today.   It is never too late to learn or go back to school (college, private tuition or call it what you want***) - and that applies to anyone who does not want to be left behind in this day and age of instant messaging.
As far as residents are concerned, it is a pity that Blaenhoddan Community Centres have no broadband facilities to help residents to move forward with the times.  Perhaps those elected next May (2012) may wisely consider this in order that their constituents may benefit in the future.
