Neath - a town with no newspaper and no radio
Is Neath a progressive town or one living in the past? Victoria Gardens has had a facelift and, with the new railings, it looks good - which means, in some respects, we are going back in time - back to the Victorian era.
There is no sign of us moving forward and catching up with other towns who have their own radio station. Even the little village of Tircoed, just outside Swansea, with only 500 houses has got one. The result is that it Tircoed is developing a great community spirit with their radio station run by unpaid volunteers.
It is time that something was done. Neath only seems to have this website and another which totally relies on news sent in by residents:-

Let's hope some forward looking councillors will look at all the grants available to help local communities.
