 Linda Ware Banned From Writing?

Linda Ware, the Cilfrew democracy campaigner, is known for not mincing words.   She has previous stated her opinion that the Swansea based Evening Post newspaper is politically biased and have compared the way they report favourably on the Labour controlled Neath Port Talbot Council in contrast to the Swansea Council.

Now it seems that the SWEP are hitting back.  Linda Ware claims that she has been banned by the paper on the referendum thread of their website.   The paper claim she is not presenting the other side of the debate.

M/s Ware states:  "SWEP has banned me from their website so that I cannot point out the other side of the Referendum on Thursday - debate is dead in NPT CBC - the only paper we have in the area and they ban anyone with an alternative view. Long Live Democracy."

For a balanced report we looked at what the SWEP had to say to an explanation requested my M/s Ware.

"Thank you for your email. Unfortunately we have had to remove a number of your posts because they contravaned our rules, which users accept and agree to abide by when they register with the site. These rules state users must not post defamatory or insulting posts, nor should they discuss removal of content As a result of this, and the fact that we were receiving many complaints about this, you have been banned from posting.

We will and do ban users who persistently abuse our rules. If you believe a comment has abused our rules, please click the 'report abuse' link."

Ed Note.  The SWEP is another example of the proverbial ostrich we have often mentioned on this website.  They know of our existence but never acknowledge it.   At least ITV have mentioned us - so it seems that things are going our way - if the SWEP like it or not.   And remember, websites such as ours will be a channel on TV in a year or two as the big merge takes place - remember we can be more visual and host videos (like the one below) and also like the one we did when the BNP criticised us before the last general election.  Yes, we do get noticed!
