Following the revelation that the main difference between Ping Pong and Table Tennis is the bats the club has invested in 2 ping pong bats. The difference being that the bats are covered with fine sandpaper rather than the rubber we are all used to. This results in a faster game with less potential for spin. It also results in a noisier game - we now understand why it is called Ping Pong!
