Note to all members of Muir of Ord Pensioners Table Tennis (25/8/20)

 

As you may be aware the Scottish Government has recently relaxed the restrictions on ‘indoor sports courts’ which will include the Church Hall. Along with allowing these facilities to be used comes sets of guidelines from the Scottish Government, from Sport Scotland, and from Table Tennis Scotland, when completed!

We might be able to operate within these guidelines with restricted numbers, less tables and at a financial cost however there would be virtually no facility for any social interaction. Additionally and more importantly the facility for a deep clean between groups using the hall (which is not available between lettings at the moment) means that it would be unsafe.

The Table Tennis Committee unanimously agree that given these circumstances we will not restart until we can abide by the various guidelines and observe the required safety and hygiene procedures. Waiting for an immunisation vaccine is the most likely solution however long that might take.

We will keep you informed via our web site (www.spanglefish.com/MuirofOrdPensionersTableTennisClub) and will communicate to all members by personal correspondence should there be any significant changes. Please keep me informed of any changes to your email, address etc.
