The Warwickshire County Board are looking for applicants for the above position so we can forward their details to Croke Park. Applications have to be forwarded to me by 6 O'Clock on Monday the 30th of January. We realise that this is short notice but we need to get someone in place in a matter of weeks. “Off the Booze and On the Ball”
The GAA in Ireland have launched the above incentive.  It has been developed to improve health/fitness and help raise funds for clubs.  Mitchel’s have decided to take part in this event.  Throughout January, we ask you to abstain from drinking alcohol.  We then ask that you obtain sponsorship or make a donation from your savings.  If you wish to sign up for this, please email me before 31st December and I will forward you a sponsorship form.  What a better way to kick start the training? ? ?

Mens Indoor Training - Wednesday 11th January (lads eligible to play adult football)
As per my previous text, indoor training will soon start at Tudor Grange Old Boys Gym, Dingle Lane, Solihull (7.45 pm to 9.00 pm).  The hire costs will need to be covered by players and so the more we get training the less individuals will need to pay.   Please support and turn out weekly.

Annual General Meeting - Sunday 15th January
This will take place in the upstairs room at Our Lady of Lourdes Social Club, Trittiford Lane, Yardley Wood.  Arrival from 2.30 pm for prompt start of 3.00 pm.

A young and relevatievly new team took part in the League finals on Saturday 2nd July in Pairc na hEireann. Excellent team play and effort ensured that they won the League B shield.  Great prospects ahead for this age group.  Well Done!

CONGRATULATIONS to all concerned for an excellent dinner dance.  The club were delighted to host Liam O'Neill (GAA President Elect for 2012) at the Irish Centre on Saturday 18th June.  It was a great night of good food, company and entertainment.  Many thanks to all who supported this event.  

This year's dinner dance will take place at The Irish Centre.  Live music by The Holy Show Band, followed by disco and, hopefully, a traditional music session.  Also, included is a drink on arrival, three course meal, and late bar.  Tickets are priced at £30.00 per person, payable in advance, and are on sale now.  Deadline is Sunday 5th June.  Please support your club by attending this function.  Thank you.

County trials are due to start on Monday 9th May - 6.00-7.00 pm.  All interested players are asked to report to Pairc na hEireann tommorrow evening.  The selected squad will represent Warwickshire in Croke Park, Dublin in July. Thank you.  

James McVeigh has been appointed as Manager.  Anyone interested in joining these squads should attend a meeting at Pairc na hEireann on Monday 2nd May at 6.00 pm.  If you can't get there don't worry.  The first trial will take place in PnH on Monday 9th May at approx 6.30 pm.

 Training will recommence at Wythall Community Centre on Tuesday 1st February at 7.30 pm.  Please make every effort to attend.  Thank you.

Presentations to all juvenile players will take place on Friday 19th November at 7.30 pm, venue: Our Lady of Lourdes Social Club, Trittiford Road, Yardley Wood, Birmingham.  

Cost of tickets £3.00 per adult, £2.00 per child or £10.00 for family ticket of 5 or more (2 adults + 3 children).

This final will now take place on Sunday 17th October at 2.30 pm v St Mary's.  Spectators will be very welcomed.

Many congratulations to our Intermediate team who beat Brendan's and will now play in the Championship Final against either St Mary's or Finbars.

According to the Warwickshire website the Final is due to be played on Saturday 2nd October in Pairc Na hEireann (time to be confirmed).
