The winner of this year's Mixed Vets Pairs are Margaret McCallum and Arthur Moir who defeated Evelyn Warden and Oscar Hasteley in the final 17 - 9.

The game was fairly close until midway through when a four and a six were exchanged in quick succession giving Margaret and Arthur a lead they were to keep for the remainder of the match. Five shots up and with two ends left, Arthur Moir finshed off the match adding to Margaret's three counting bowls with another one of his own to give them a nine shot lead and only one end remaining.

A perfect day for bowling with the glorious sunshine bathing both players and spectators in one of the best days of summer.
