Friendlies 2011
Our first friendly of the season was away to Arbroath B.C.
Leaving sunny Montrose behind we arrived at a much cooler Dishland Hill in Arbroath. As usual our hosts were first class and we received a warm and friendly welcome. Unfortunately, it was a bit cold, but at least it stayed dry until the last few ends when we had some heavy rain. Nevertheless, we had a great day, and as usual the chatting was non stop.
The score was not what we had hoped for as we lost 70shots to 50 shots. This was an improvement on last year's result, so look out for a closer game in 2012.
Our only rink to record a win was skipped by Dave Murray who was playing in that role for the first time. Well done Dave!
Our next game is
Hope Paton v Edzell
Lochlands v Hope Paton
Hope Paton v Hillside
Boyle Park v Hope Paton
