About the Trust.

OUR WORK AND MISSION.

The object of the Hope Christian Trust is to support charitable work based on Christian principles mainly, but not entirely, in educational and cultural establishments in Israel. Also in the occupied Palestinian Territories, and in Arab Countries amongst young people and adults. Also, where theTrustees deem necessary, to give relief and support for poverty, sickness, and other needs, especially showing love and care for families and children.

Who do we help and support.

The Trust currently has two primary areas of concern.

1. Support for the Lighthouse (Al Minara in Arabic) School in a very poor area of Gaza City in
the troubled Gaza Strip.

2. Support for a Family Community Centre in the village of Zababdeh in the northern part of the West Bank.

Additionally the Trust has an interest in supporting the Hearing Impaired Unit  in the Arab Evangelical School in Hebron and also the developing ministry of Love into Action working now with vulnerable young people in the Mafraq area of the Kingdom of Jordan. The Trust’s historic support for Bethlehem Bible College in the UK is now channeled through a new Trust, independent of HCT, the Bethlehem Development Trust. The Trustees will respond to other needs in the area where they feel appropriate on an occasional and “ one off” basis particularly responding to appeals for emergency help which is caused by the very unstable situation in the West Bank and Gaza.”
