Jokers 23/05/10

Fife Cup Final played in the brilliant sunshine at Warout stadium in our super duper new strips.

We started tha game as hot as the sun and were 1 upp within a few moments when Willie scored from a few yards out. Within a few minutes we were 2 up when Wille scored a contender for goal of the season from a difficult angle. At this stage we we well on top but after about half an hour  Jokers come into the game and got a goal back after Gav was tripped. Like ourselfs Jokers scored a 2nd soon after there first when Sticks pushed a throw in into his own net.

The 2nd half i felt was fairly even with both teams creating chances and hitting the woodwork but there were to be no more goals in normal time so on to extra time.

1st period of extra time we again started well and had a goal chopped off before moments later scoring a wonderful team goal which wass rounded off superbly by Hampton. The lead didnt last  long when we conceded our 2nd own goal when Robbo unluckily headed into his own net.

2nd period of extra time we got caught early and scored our 3rd own goal when Miki again unluckily put into his own net. Altho we had another couple of chances the 4th goal knocked the stuffing out of us and we conceded a 5th late on.

All in all for the neutral it must have been a cracking game and for spells we played some nice stuff.Everyone gave all the had and no one can be faulted for effort and determination.THANK YOU lads.

gutted to lose after being 2 up then going ahead in extra time but proud of the effort put in.
