Weavers 02/05/10

Game played at one of the smallest parks we have played on all season at the wonderful Beveridge Park. We started well and took the game to them from the start and created a couple of good chances wi Kirk and Gav having the best of them. We then got hit with a sucker punch from a corner when Weavers took the lead after some slack marking.  Within a few moments we equalised though when Kirk chased down a hopeful ball and squared it to Willie who scored a rasper fi 25yards.We had another chance or 2 while limiting Weaver to the long ball .

2nd Half we again started strong and created a good few chances which we couldnt convert and then wi 10 mins to go we gave away one of the silliest goals ive seen with a comedy of errors which lead to us scoring an og. Again though we kept the heads and got an equaliser 2 mins later when Robbo was pushed in the box and Willie converted the pen.

We scored four of our pens with Willie,Jonesy,Skelf and  Tam scoring and Gav missing.Sticks also saved 2 of the Weavers pens.

Thought we played well the day and wi the changes made  today it will be harder than ever to pick the team next week but a suppose thats a good thing. Good to see us show a bit of fight the day aswell as playind some decent stuff. Well done lads
