The weather was sunny but blustery in Musselburgh for the season closer between Forth and Tír Cónaill.  The two teams familiarity with each other quickly showed in the even nature of the match with neither team able to get a clear upper hand.  Tír Cónaill scored the first two goals but a fantastic strike from Jo Gorniak brought  Forth back into contention before the half.

At the restart the pace did not let up.  Outstanding performances from Forth backs Verity Clarke, Sophie Moyles and Úna Henry denied Tír Cónaill several times and the midfield trio of Katy and Jen Smith and Anna Weston kept the Forth forward line well supplied with ball.  Unfortunately, however Tír Cónaill managed another goal with about 15 minutes to go.  Forth continued to push but weren't rewarded for their efforts.
