Final preparations are underway for the invasion of ladies to the annual StrathForth tournament  in Edinburgh this Sunday.

Strathglass, Aberdeen University and Badenoch & Strathspey will be representing the North in the tournament, with a strong turnout from South teams too. Forth, GMA, Tir Conaill Harps, Aberdour, Cowal & Bute and Linlithgow will all be attempting to take the trophy from holders Badenoch & Strathspey.

The facilities at Peffermill sports grounds offer a bar and food, plus seating for spectators viewing the action. In addition to the shinty top and development league there will also be a penalty shoot out, and a shinty sports day during the lunch-time break.

Team registration is at 11am, and matches will run from 11.30am to around 4.30pm. There will be a minutes silence prior to the start of the first match to commemorate the life of Strathglass shinty player Scott Bain who tragically died last weekend.
