While driving to work tonight it was very misty and as we were going I noticed that all the street lights were shinning light like beacons but only in certain areas and everything else was shrouded in darkness and mist.
This got me thinking about God's light that lives within us. It shines to direct us, when the darkness or misty patches that appear in life seem to try and engulf us, we have His light.
It shows us where to go but it also shows us boundaries which if crossed can lead us into dark places. Many times I have stepped over the line of light but God's grace has always pulled me back in to the light and I think that we all need to hear that.
His light shines in the darkness to guide us to His father God but we also need to recognise times when the light doesn't want us to go where fools rush in.
Jesus said 'I am the lightofthe world', so we need to pay attention, stay in the light
