Sometimes in life we can end up in dark places in our mind, heart and soul. Regardless of whether your a believer or not, sometimes the darkness comes out of lifes situations and fear. And even in times like these it's hard to pick up God's word and read or to do anything really.
Personally this makes me think of King David when He was going through some tough times. Rejected by family, friends, hunted down by Saul and even his closest friend had left him on his own. He was in a desperate place and sometimes life can seem like that.
But David had a way out, He kept his eyes on his creator and lifted praises, even in the hardships. Psalm 7:17 - I will give thanks unto Jehovah according to his righteousness, And will sing praise to the name of Jehovah Most High.
And this is what does it for me. I put on the headphones, some good live worship music, lift my hands, close my eyes and let God minister to my soul.
So tonight i would say to you, believer or not. Let God come and minister to your soul, let Him speak to you through praise and song.
