Cromarty Football Club play their home games at Victoria Park.

It's quite tough to find records of Club results in the '70's and '80's, but the 1990's was a very successful decade for Cromarty, including two Highland Amatuer cup final appearances.

They finished runners-up in the league in both '96 and 2000, and clinched back-to-back titles in '98 and '99. Both titles were wrapped up in spectacular fashion.

The first was clinched on the last day of the season, at the home of bitter rivals Avoch. Avoch went into the game two points ahead of Cromarty, knowing a draw would be enough to claim the title. A massive away support made the journey to Avoch, and they weren't to be disappointed, as Cromarty claimed a thumping 4-0 win to clinch the league championship.

The 1999 league triumph was again sewn up on the last day of the season, this time at Victoria Park. Cromarty needed a win to make sure of the title, and duly delivered, finishing one point ahead of Avoch for the second season running.

The 2000 season was to be one of disappointment for Cromarty, as Avoch finally ended their hoodoo to win a league play-off 5-3. Both sides had dominated the league again, and both dropped only five points all season to finish level on 58 points. A play-off was held on neutral turf in Culbokie, with Avoch running out winners.

That season proved to be the end of an era, as the Cromarty side was broken up and withdrew from the Ross-shire league. Victoria Park fell silent for 6 long years, until a youthful and largely local Cromarty side rejoined the league amid a fury of anticipation.

It was a steep learning curve for Cromarty, with only a solitary victory to show for months of hard work, a superb cup win against Mid Lairg. The whole Club was boosted, though, by the incredible support they received from everyone in the village, and beyond.
