Paintings & Drawings

From an early age, I always had a pencil in my hand! And have been passionate about colour, line and form ever since. I gained a BA(Hons) degree in Painting from Edinburgh College of Art. 

Having for many years been based in the Scottish Borders, I am now in the beautiful Old Kingdom, former land of the Picts. Magical and ever-changing colours of the mountains and sea are enchanting, especially so in the Highlands, discovered with my late husband, Rin.

Presently, wild walks in the hills and along the coast with my partner Andy and Basil the dog are a constant source of inspiration. Ancient waters in never-ending cycle have a particular resonance - falls, lochs, rivers and seas - these evoke for me a sort of timeless journey, imaginings and memories of people and places gone before: the lost and found, at once transient, and enduring.
