Please leave a message. We are grateful for your comments and feedback. Applecross Wedding Dear Canned Haggis, Thank you for coming all the way to Applecross to play for us. We had an excellent day and barely noticed the wet weather due to our fantastic guests and awesome Ceilidh!! Thank you for helping us out with the beautiful song for our first dance in particular!! Lots of love from Ailsa and Johan... Posted by Ailsa and Johan on 04 October 2014 Maclachlan Clan Gathering and Strathlachlan Community Festival June 20th 2014 To all in Canned Haggis, I can honestly say you are one of the best Ceilidh bands I have ever heard :). You got everyone to the dance floor, even those who have never done any Scottish Dancing in their lives, it was a fabulous evening! Many thanks and I will definitely get you back to Castle Lachlan for another function. Regards Kate from the Castle Lachlan team. Posted by Marty Makin (nee Maclachlan) on 14 July 2014 Strathlachlan Community Festival & Clan Lachlan Gathering Thank you Canned Haggis, for stepping into the breach at the last minute and kindly coming to our Ceilidh on Friday 20th June at Castle Lachlan. You were brilliant. Everyone have been contacting us all week to tell us how good the Ceilidh was... Best Ceilidh Band in Argyll!! Posted by 2014 Maclachlan Clan Gathering on 14 May 2014 Catherine and Duncan's wedding Crear, 26 Oct 2013 Canned Haggis made the night. What a great mix of dancing and song. We had a mixed group of experienced dancers (those in the kilts) and us sassenachs (enthusiastic but clueless). Alistair explained the dances but kept everything moving with patience and humour. The dance floor was full all night. They couldn't have been better, and it has been nearly as good reprising their music now we have their CD. Subject: RE: WaterAid Ball - Canned Haggis
Good afternoon Alistair,
On behalf of the ball committee I wanted to pass on our thanks for your efforts on Friday.
The feedback for the Ceilidh has been fantastic and you filled the floor from the word go, so much so we are considering a bigger dance floor next year to accommodate the numbers you guys seemed to attract. You were a great group and needed no management which was just as well as the committee were running about daft this year learning the ropes.
Of course we will be considering you again for next year, you know the event so well and your generosity to play for minimal expenses is such a kind contribution to WaterAid.
Final sums have still to be done but it looks like it was a record breaking year with over £92k being raised so once again – THANKS!!!!
