MATCH REPORTS

27.09.09 - Away Vs Weymouth Diamonds

Again Bere had the bare 11 players, but started the better of the 2 teams. There was a good team spirit and performance for the 1st 25 minutes in which Bere wanted the ball and desired to score goals. Sam L scoring in the first minute from a lovely through ball from Sam H. 15 minutes later and Bere get a free kick in the Weymouth half which Jake converts into the 2nd goal. On 24 minutes a good fighting spirit from Sam L sees him get his second - after 3 attempts - and Bere's 3rd goal. That was the best of it as far as Bere was concerned. Slack marking and not closing down the opposition let Weymouth back into the game, 2 long shots in 10 minutes beat Sam in goal, so we go in at Half Time 3-2 to the good.

The second half was woeful. Terrible refereeing decisions, Injured players and bere huffing and puffing left Weymouth to score 3 unanswered goals. Final score Weymouth 5, Bere 3.

A Red card for Jake and a Yellow card for Ryan did not help the cause.

The Referee gets a low mark for his awful biased performance.

Man of the Match: (and scorer of 2 goals) Sam Loveless

Managers Player: Jack Reynard

13.09.09 - Away Vs Shaftesbury Rockies.

With the basic 11 players this as expected turned out to be a rout.

3 Minutes on the clock and Shaftesbury score their first. BRC looked like a team of old, leaking goals every 5/10 minutes. At Half-Time it was 7-0. It was not worth laying into the team with the half-time talk, as they all knew where they were going wrong. A few points were raised against the defence, but these were not heeded as within a minute of the restart the exact point that was raised happened.

Then Bere score, perseverence from Chris and with help from Sam finally gets it's reward. Now it is 8-1, but that is short lived as Shaftesbury reply with 4 more goals in the next  15 minutes. Then once again up pops Chris to score from a tight angle. 12-2. Just before the final whistle the defence once again fall asleep and Shaftesbury make it 13-2.

Man of the Match: (and scorer of both goals) Chris Budge.

Managers Player of the Match: Chris Budge
