We had a fantastic Family Cèilidh recently in aid of the Wester Ross Provincial Mod Funds In the Poolewe Village Hall. All the performers were under 21 but the performances were of the high standard people have come to expect from a Meur Loch Iu Cèilidh. It was Steven MacIver’s first time ever as Fear an Tighe and young as he is, he made a superb job! The Young Lochaber Cèilidh Band provided the music for dancing and as usual they were on good form. We had performances from Accordions, Bagpipes, fiddles and Gaelic Song and all the performers played and sang beautifully. There will definitely be some good competition at this years’ Provincial and Royal National Mods.

The refreshments & tray bakes were very welcome when the Interval came – almost enjoyed as much as the entertainment!
