Beaver experiment works!

by Mufasa - 21:00 on 04 October 2008
As part of th eBeaver "Imagination Badge" the beavers were all given an A3 sheet of paper completely blank with the exception of marks on two sides.
The task was to complete an imaginary futuristic picture of their own design, the only set thing was that the picture had to have a road through it connecting the marks on the sides of the sheet.  Some did the obvious straight [ish] line and others a real circular tour between the two points. That was all completed in week one.

Week two was the compilation of all the sheets of paper into the 'Big picture' which, because of the marks on the sheets, had a circular road that run through all the small pictures.  To some extent they had made a futuristic map.  The Beavers who had completed a section of the picture were made into groups who were then tasked with making up a play, or story, which they related to the group. There was no talking between groups and after some 15 minutes everyone was ready. We started with the first group which really set the imagination alight with their story ending in a huge fire. we were then transported through a Dinosaur Park, a futuristic Rocket Park where everyone went on holiday. Finally we were transported through the final maze of roads only to find that the coach driver had mistakenly driven us right into a huge fire.....which amazingly brought us a full circle.

A really HUGE WELL DONE to all the Beavers for a great job wiith lots of effort.
